Postponement due to the Storm
Paul M. Brennan passed away at the North Shore Medical Center in Lynn on January 30, 2013. He was 69 years of age. Paul was born in Melrose on December 3, 1943, was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1961. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War from 1962-1968 and played in the US Navy Band. Mr. Brennan lived in Melrose for several years, Woburn for a few years and Saugus for over 20 years. Paul was a talented musician, pianist and saxophone player and enjoyed playing in several local marching bands throughout his career. He was also a piano tuner and owned the P. Brennan Piano Tuner Company in Saugus for many years. Paul was the son of the late John P. & Margaret (Farrell) Brennan. Brother of John & his wife SuzAnne Runge Brennan of Fort Wayne and New Haven, Indiana, and Neal Brennan of Sandwich. Nephew of the late Edna V. Farrell. Uncle of Sara (Kenneth) LaBelle of Honolulu, James Brennan of Portland, OR, Heidi Brennan of Wakefield, Joseph Brennan of Fort Wayne, and Moira Brennan of New York, NY. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Monday, February 11th from 9:00-11:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 11:30 AM. Relatives & friends are invited to attend. Interment in the Veteran’s Section at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to The Friends of the Lynn Woods, Friends of the Middlesex Fells, the Melrose Symphony Orchestra, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
