Hallmark Health System names 2012 Employee of the Year

Jan. 31, 2013 – Hallmark Health System (HHS), which includes Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford and Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, employs thousands of outstanding men and women but one stood out recently – Joanne Mujalli, who was named the organization’s 2012 Employee of the Year.

Mujalli, a resident of Melrose, has been with HHS since 2009 and currently works as a legal assistant/contract administrator. People look forward to interacting with her and she has been recognized by many co-workers for kindness, expertise and friendliness. Mujalli’s efforts and skill enable HHS to keep more legal work in house rather than going to outside firms, which allows HHS to direct its financial resources to meeting its mission of providing high quality healthcare to the communities.

The employee of the year is chosen by the organization’s Rewards and Recognition Team, a group of employees charged with developing and implementing recognition programs to ensure deserving employees are recognized. The team reviewed the nominations of the 12 exemplary employees that had been chosen as employee of the month throughout the year. Ultimately the Rewards and Recognition Team selected Mujalli because of her commitment to service excellence and ensuring HHS continues to be the region’s system of choice.

The employee of the year announcement was made by Michael V. Sack, president and CEO of Hallmark Health System, during a reception on Jan. 24 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford.
