Gregory R. Smith, of Melrose, died at home on December 29, 2012 at the age of 57. Greg was born & raised in Melrose, a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1973, and played on the football team. He attended Framingham State College and went on to work in Customer Service for Griffin Greenhouse Supply in Tewksbury for over 20 years. He enjoyed golfing, sports, movies and reading. Greg was the loving father of Ryan & Jonathan Curll, both of East Boston, Nicole Smith of Melrose and Chelsea Smith of Billerica. Caring brother of Donald C. Smith & his wife Tina Thomas Smith of Melrose. Cherished grandfather of Nicholas W. Smith, Jr. Devoted uncle of Kerri Y. Smith of Watertown. Also survived by many cousins & friends. A Funeral Service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Saturday, Jan. 5^th at 3PM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours prior to the service from 1-3PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
