Forth and fifth grade Winthrop Elementary students enjoy breakfast at school while voting for their favorite book from the Massachusetts Children's Book Award (MCBA) program.

The program is sponsored by Salem State University and is designed to encourage children to continue their interest in reading as they get older. Students must choose and read five (or more) books from the master list published by Salem State to be eligible to vote.

The winning book will be announced April 2, 2012. Last year's MCBA winner was 11 Birthdays by Wendy Mass.
