Area Gas Prices Continue To Tumble
New England drivers still paying well above the national average.
As the Christmas travel season approaches, drivers are on the receiving end of some good news relative to gas prices.
According to AAA Southern New England, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas (self-serve) dropped another seven cents this past week, to $3.47.
The good news is that price is 14 cents lower than a month ago. The bad news is, New England drivers are still paying roughly 13 cents higher than the national average and a full 20 cents higher than the price of gas in December 2011.
According to the gas stations surveyed by AAA, prices ranged from $3.33 to $3.75 for unleaded regular self-serve.

I like how we've been programmed for so long to see $4.00 gas prices so much so that we now consider $3.52 a "low" price.
And shame on Vasco for going to this "Cash Price" scam that everyone else has adopted. Such a complete farce.
