After a tumultuous season, the Boston Red Sox fired Bobby Valentine after one season as manager of the team, according to a report by the Boston Globe.

Under Valentine, the Red Sox went 69-93 and the skipper found himself dealing with a variety of issues, including a slew of injuries and clubhouse issues with Red Sox players Kevin Youkilis and Dustin Pedroia.
