Clark-Spadafora Debate Wednesday Night

The two candidates for state Senate will square off in Wakefield on a forum open to the public.

The candidates for the state Senate seat representing Melrose Wards 1-5 will face off in a televised debate open to the public and hosted by Wakefield Community Access Television (WCAT) this Wednesday night.

Democrat Katherine Clark and Republican Craig Spadafora will debate this Wednesday night at 8 p.m. in the auditorium of the Galvin Middle School in Wakefield. A copy of the debate, which will be carried live on WCAT's government channel, will be sent to MMTV for cablecasting to Melrose voters. The debate is scheduled to last for one hour and a representative from one of the newspapers in each community in the district will pose the questions.

The debate is open to the public. Political signs will not be allowed on school property or in the hall, but will be allowed on the sidewalk in front of the school.
