Edward Jones Helps Melrose Kids By Collecting Back-to-School Supplies
Through Aug. 27, the financial firm will be collecting school supplies at their 502 Main St. location.
For the third consecutive year, Edward Jones is collecting school supplies to give to Melrose students in need, according to a City press statement.
"...Chris Cinella and the staff of Edward Jones Financial want to make sure that every Melrose child starts off with fresh supplies on the first day of school," the statement reads.
Through Aug. 27, Cinella and his staff will collect supplies before being distributed to the Melrose Emergency Fund, according to the statement. Edward Jones office is located at 502 Main St.
Some of the supplies children will need to begin the school years include:
- Backpacks
- Crayons
- Filler paper
- Markers
- Notebooks
- Pens
- Three-ring binders
"The first day of school is a fresh start for all students, filled with potential for the coming year," said Mayor Rob Dolan in the statement. "We want all our children to do their very best, and one simple way to support them is to make sure they have the proper suppliesthey need for their classes.
"Like many Melrose businesses, Edward Jones has been a great partner with the City of Melrose in working to make Melrose a better community for all our citizens," Dolan said.
Cinella is looking forward to assisting the children of the community with their school-based needs for yet another year.
"We have had a great response to our school supplies donation drive over the past two years," said Cinella in the statement. "We hope that we will be equally successful this year."
