Why Go: Do different service projects by Melrose civic and religious organizations.

Why Go: Take the family skating at the indoor rink.

The Edwards Twins at Stoneham Theatre

Why Go: Watch two brother dress up and impersonate celebrities such as Barbra Streisand, Cher and Elton John.

Winchester Winter Farmers Market

Why Go: Shop for locally-grown root vegetables, herbs, fruits, cheeses, meats, smoked fish, baked breads and desserts, coffees, olive oils, as well as jewelry and clothing.

Window Arts Malden 2011 Encore Exhibition

Why Go: It's an opportunity to see the works of the Window Arts Malden artists under one roof. The exhibition will run through Feb. 4.
