A Night of Klezmer Music and Dance

  • Where/When: Distler Performance Hall, Tufts University, Medford/Wednesday, May 4, 8 p.m.
  • Why Go: The Jumbo Knish Factory will put on a fun show for the whole family, with knishes to nosh on afterwards!
  • Pricing: Free

May Fair

  • Where/When: Belmont United Methodist Church, Belmont/Saturday, May 7, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Why Go: Take Mom shopping for Mother’s Day at this craft fair, where there will also be a children’s book author!
  • Pricing: Donations accepted

Green Up Clean Up Carr Park

  • Where/When: Carr Park, Medford/Saturday, May 7, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Why Go: If you haven’t had a chance to spend the afternoon in the sunshine with the kids helping with spring clean-up, this is a great opportunity!
  • Pricing: Free

Melrose Symphony - May Pops

  • Where/When: Memorial Hall/Saturday, May 7, 8 p.m.
  • Why Go: The MSO will be performing music from Harry Potter, among other things, and it’s never too early to introduce your family to live symphonic music.
  • Pricing: $29 general admission

Babes in the Woods: Escape to Silver Mine

  • Where/When: Sheepfold Parking Lot, Fellsway West (Route 28), Stoneham/ Tuesday, May 10, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Why Go: This lovely morning hike will be a nice way to get out into nature as the weather gets warmer. Dress for possible mud!
