Melrose Police are investigating an apparent burglary at the YMCA on Main Street.

At 4:36 a.m. on Monday morning, YMCA employees reported a possible breaking and entering to Melrose Police.

According to Melrose Police Lt. Mark DeCroteau, the employees stated they were opening up for the day when they noticed a laptop normally at the lobby desk was missing.

Also discovered missing was a flat screen television mounted to the wall in the gym area, a coinbox and a computer camera, DeCroteau said. A computer on the floor had been knocked over.

Melrose Police are continuing an investigation, DeCroteau said.
