Monday, Feb. 6

11:12 a.m. Graffiti tagging on bleachers at Melrose High School.

2:45 a.m. Auto theft reported from West Wyoming Avenue.

6:27 p.m. Call from Porter Street reported a suspicious male wearing dark clothing carrying a duffle bag at home’s back door. Person left the area in a silver Chevy. Description given out to all units.

10:27 p.m. 911 call about disturbance at West Wyoming Avenue apartment.

Tuesday, Feb. 7

1:54 p.m. Bike stolen from Beech Avenue.

2:45 p.m. Party was trespassed from Melrose High School and then returned. SRO has one male party in custody. Donald Mahoney, 17, 133 Pleasant St., Apt. E, Melrose was arrested on charges of trespassing and threat to commit a crime (to wit: kill). Melrose Police Lt. Mark DeCroteau said that Mahoney had been told several times during the day to leave the school property and the threat charge came from earlier in the day, when he was first trespassed from the property, and remains under investigation.

6:39 p.m. Melrose-Wakefield Hospital security called to request assistance with an out of control patient. DeCroteau said the individuals had already been treated and discharged from the hospital, had come back and were being loud and disruptive in the ER waiting area. After several attempts to get them to calm down and leave, DeCroteau said they allegedly became combative with the officers. A 15-year-old and Darlene Debra Ibraham, 32, 39 Richardson Ave., Apt. 15, Wakefield, were each arrested on charges of assault and battery on a police officer, disturbing the peace and resisting arrests. An officer was treated for injuries but not admitted, DeCroteau said.

Wednesday, Feb. 8

6:18 a.m. Oak Grove Village security officer reports there is a male party climbing in the dumpster. Person removed from property.

1:56 p.m. Disturbance on Waverly Place. Anne Shaw, 43, 30 Waverly Place, Melrose, was arrested on the charge of domestic assault and battery.

Thursday, Feb. 9

12:16 a.m. Malden taxi at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital having problem with passenger not paying. A 49-year-old Malden man was issued a summons on the charge.

12:52 a.m. Caller reports woman screaming for help in driveway on Mount Vernon Street. Intoxicated female transported to hospital.

11:56 a.m. Two car accident at Franklin Street and Tremont Street.

Friday, Feb. 10

1:50 p.m. Officer told of person trying to enter Woodcrest Drive home via ladder. Person was construction worker, home owner on scene.

2:42 p.m. Several calls on loose dog in Cedar Park area. Owner collected the dog.

Saturday, Feb. 11

9:45 a.m. Owner of Dado’s Pizza came in and found front door lock broken and restaurant broken into.

10:16 a.m. Credit card fraud reported from Youle Street.

3:26 p.m. Report of vandalism at Melrose Public Library.

10:02 p.m. A 911 caller reported a man pounding on the front door of a home on Glendale Avenue. The caller saw that the man had made entry to the home, DeCroteau said, and went to confront the man and held onto him until officers arrived. Thomas Albert Duff, 18, 108 Lincoln St., Melrose, was arrested on the charge of breaking and entering into a building during the nighttime for a felony. DeCroteau said a subsequent investigation revealed that Duff knows the resident of the home he allegedly broke into; the incident remains under investigation.

Other Arrests and Summonses

A 26-year-old Framingham resident was issued a summons on Monday, Feb. 6 on the charge of violating an abuse prevention order.

A 17-year-old Melrose resident was issued a summons on Tuesday, Feb. 7 on the charge of threat to commit a crime.

A 32-year-old Melrose woman was issued a summons on Wednesday, Feb. 8 on charges of driving with a revoked license and a motor vehicle lights violation (broken right tail light).
