Monday, July 2
1:40 p.m. Caller reported man stole metal from dumpster on Bellevue Avenue and walked away.
8:36 p.m. Officer finds kids trespassing in Lloyd Memorial Pool.
Tuesday, July 3
9:47 a.m. Complaint of large trucks driving up and down First Street at Sixth Street damaging trees. Detail officers in area notified and city investigating.
12:17 p.m. Walk-in question about a possible scam letter received with stamp address from out of the country.
4:02 p.m. Walk-in report from Beech Avenue of credit card fraud.
Wednesday, July 4
1:44 p.m. Report of suspicious, possible drug-related activity on Mount Vernon Street.
5:06 p.m. Two drunk women in Town Line Inn lobby. Taken into custody by Malden Police.
8:01 p.m. Caller reports dog attack at Mount Hood.
10:02 p.m. Caller from Lynn Fells Parkway said his car window had been broken.
Thursday, July 5
1:45 a.m. Caller from Sylvan Street reports altercation with driver with knife.
7:13 p.m. 911 caller reported two women trying to go behind counter at Dunkin Donuts on Main Street in an effort to get money. Problem solved prior to officers’ arrival.
10:57 p.m. Melrose-Wakefield Hospital called reporting a fight in front main parking lot.
Friday, July 6
11:22 a.m. Caller upset because woman has more than two dogs in the dog park. Police called animal control officer, spoke with Health Director Ruth Clay about the rules in the dog park. Responding officer reports only one dog in the park.
11:41 a.m. Walk-in report of bike stolen from Lake Avenue.
5:20 p.m. Walk-in report of damage to property on Grandview Avenue.
10:40 p.m. Malden Police reports shooting in their city, suspect left the area north on Lebanon Street heading toward Melrose in a silver Honda or Nissan Maxima driven by a black male. Information given to all units.
Saturday, July 7
6:11 a.m. Caller requests cruiser to Forest Street home, would give no other info and hung up. Verbal argument, people separated.
6:42 a.m. Officer reports a LoJack hit on car at Forest Street and Lebanon Street, comes back confirmed stolen out of Everett to a 2000 Nissan Maxima, color gray. Malden Police notified.
7:46 a.m. Caller reports fight in progress on Vine Street. Officer reports it was just workers yelling over the machine noise.
8:32 p.m. Caller from Edgemere Street reports GPS stolen from her car but does not wish to make a report at this time.
Sunday, July 8
12:39 p.m. Walk-in report from Cutter Street of a possible past break-in attempt.
1:06 p.m. Complaint of damage to property on Avon Street.
1:17 p.m. Vandalism damage to property on Swains Pond Avenue.
9:03 p.m. Disturbance on Pleasant Street.
Other Arrests and Summonses
A 60-year-old Malden man was issued a summons on Monday, July 2 on the charge of violating an abuse prevention order.
Paul R. Quinn, 35, 44 Sherman St., Revere, was arrested on Thursday, July 5 on the charge of violating an abuse prevention order and on a warrant for failure to appear.
Joshua J. Gilbert, 39, 190 Warwick Road, Melrose, was arrested on Thursday, July 5 on the charge of domestic assault and battery.
