Please vote for your favorite place to buy sporting goods by taking our poll. Then click on the directory link and write a short review.
Warm weather and sunny skies are fast approaching, and it's time to get out and play soccer in the park, tennis in the public courts and catch on the ball field. To do all these spring activities, you might need to buy some equipment. So turn to your neighbors to discover the best place to buy sporting goods in the city.
Here are some of our favorite ones, but if we're leaving someone off the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add that business.
Do you own one of these businesses? Claim your listing!
Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

For running gear, Marathon Sports is the place, no doubt. But, for gear for other sports, Everett Square Sporting Goods is it. A real throwback, worth a visit. And they take great care of their Melrose neighbors!

I have to agree with Michelle. Everett Square Sporting Goods is owned by the Ventura Family of Melrose and the service is great. Paul and John know their stuff and their stuff is so reasonably-priced you can't beat it. They have equipment and uniforms for soccer, baseball/softball, football, golf, lacrosse, combined with expert advice for those of us who don't know exactly what is what!
