Bill Forbes (center), a Vietnam veteran and current Ward 7 Alderman, with his daughter (currently deployed in Afghanistan) and son Scott (OIF/OEF, Operation New Dawn Veteran), are holding the flag of Bill's father and Scott's grandfather, a World War II Veteran.

Veterans Day is this Sunday, Nov. 11. To honor local veterans, we invite you to share photos of Melrose servicemen and women so the whole city can honor those who serve our nation.

Friday November 9th

8 a.m. – Veterans Day Breakfast – Middle School
9 a.m. – Assembly

Sunday November 11th

9 a.m. – Veterans Day Breakfast – Memorial Hall GAR Room

10 a.m. – WWII Memorial
10:30 a.m. – Vietnam Memorial
11:11 a.m. – WWI Memorial

Friday November 16th

8 a.m. – Veterans in the Classroom 8 a.m., High School

We would like to thank all veterans for their service especially Ken MacIntosh ( combat veteran Afghanistan ) and Nik MacIntosh ( currently in Afghanistan ) our sons. We are very proud of all the American Patriots of Melrose.
