Video: Sheriff's Mobile Firing Range Brings Training to Police Officers
The state-of-the-art mobile range purchased by the Middlesex Sheriff's Department allows local police officers in the county to complete their annual firearm recertification in their respective cities and towns.
Law enforcement officials from across Middlesex County gathered in Melrose on Thursday morning for the unveiling of a new mobile firing range obtained by the Middlesex Sheriff's Office. The state-of-the-art range, purchased using mostly a $475,000 federal grant, allows officers to complete their annual firearm recertifications in their own city or town and use real ammunition in video simulations. Watch our video below from Thursday's unveiling, with footage from inside the range.
