Where's the Best Roast Beef Sandwich in Melrose?
Share with your neighbors which restaurant makes the tastiest sandwich in town.
It's a Boston area staple—the hot roast beef sandwich. A certain place down Revere Beach claims to have invented our regional version of the roast beef sandwich, and the area is dotted with roast beef joints (that often specialize in two items: roast beef sandwiches, and fried seafood platters).
For this week's Patch Picks, we want to know: Where's the best roast beef sandwich in Melrose? (Nearby is OK, too.)
Tell us your picks in the comments below, and don't forget to tell us what you want on your sandwich! Do you take it with sauce? Cheese? Mayo? Three-way? Naked? We'll compile your picks into next Thursday's column.

Billy's Roast Beef. Any way they make it, with anything on it. Enough said? Pretty much a pointless poll ;)

Liberty Bell. The sauce and rolls are perfect.

A vote for the Bell! (I, too, like the rolls at Liberty Bell.)

I'm with Jeff 100%! Billy's Rules! I also love Kelly's but it's a different cut of beef than most others, and for some reason, better at Revere beach (I grew up in Revere) as compared to route 1, Saugus. (still good though) Liberty Bell doesn't come close (sorry). But all things considered, quality, size, price, and TASTE, Billy's walks away with the prize! Hi Jeff!

Rick, as a fellow Revere native myself, I have to second your notion that it's simply better down beach.

Not that it's my favorite, but there is also Casa Mia downtown.
