Which Non-Profits Need Donations This Holiday Season?
For next week's Patch Picks, we're asking you to share with your neighbors where they should bring canned food, coats or other goods.
Food banks across the country are struggling every day to gather enough food to feed the poor, according to NPR, and even more so during the holidays.
So we'd like to know which ones, along with soup kitchens and other non-profit organizations, need donations from the community.
Just leave your suggestions in the comments section, and we'll compile them into next Thursday's Patch Picks column.

Thanks for letting us know, Christina. Does anyone else know of organizations that need donations of clothing, food or other things?

Devereux Therapeutic Foster Care, located in Woburn and supporting homes in our local area is conducting a gift card drive. The foster parents, children and teens could use donations of gift cards: stores, malls, nail and hair salons, restaurants, movie passes, sporting events, etc. can be mailed or dropped off at Devereux Therapeutic Foster Care, 800 West Cummings Park, Suite 3700, Woburn. Call for pick up of group or larger donations - weekdays (866) 334-3879. We appreciate any support provided - tax forms can be mailed.

Lots of deserving but the Melrose Emergency Relief Fund (out of City Hall) has done good work.
