Area students are gearing up to head back to school. So we thought it would be fun to ask what your memorable first school days were? First day of high school? First day of seventh grade?
What made first school days memorable then? The smell of the air becoming crisp? Your new school clothes? Seeing all your friends and other kids you haven't seen? Meeting your new teachers and comparing class schedules with friends?

I was brought in one door,met the Nuns, and out the back door.............screaming the whole way. It got better though, I stopped screaming and just ran out the back door. My poor Mother, had the paience of a Saint.

My just showing up for the first day of school was a major event, I wasn't a fan of school.
