On Sunday, I attended the Melrose Victorian Fair for the first time in the five years that I've lived here.

It was put on by the Melrose Chamber of Commerce and featured too many small tents to count, that housed local businesses, that either were trying to sell something, raise money for a charity, or a combo of both.

The turnout, was impressive. The Main Street in Melrose is a pretty wide street, but with tents on each side and then the crowds walking in between, it was a little claustrophobic at times.

The problem for me is that in such a crowd, it can be a little overwhelming to break out the camera and take shots, because I didn't really want to offend anyone. As it turned out, I don't think anyone really noticed.

I spent a good amount of time at the Melrose Patch site. I've been cross-posting on their site for a few months now and it has helped to get my photographs notice on a more local basis. I'm very happy that Daniel DeMaina invited me to blog on the site.

For the first time I met up with him and a few friends from Twitter, who I've been following, but haven't really met. It was a good time talking with them and the plan is to meet up in the near future for a good ole' fashion Tweetup.

I'm actually looking forward to it, because expanding your social circle is always a good thing.

I hope that everyone is having a great start to their week.
