Ward 2 Neighborhood Recycling Meeting on Wednesday

Just when you thought the elections were over, we’ve got a new campaign!

It’s a Ward 2 Neighborhood Recycling Campaign, and our first meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14 in the All-Purpose Room at the Horace Mann Elementary School, 40 Damon Ave. The meeting will be hosted by Mayor Rob Dolan, the Department of Public Works and myself, as the Ward 2 Alderman.

Our goal will be to increase recycling and decrease our regular trash waste. Chances are that if you are reading this, you already recycle regularly. With this neighborhood recycling campaign we hope to help you kick it up a notch and work together to boost recycling efforts in our neighborhood.

Members of the DPW, including Jessica Schmitt, our Solid Waste and Recycling Coordinator, will share information and answer questions. We will also be looking for new ideas from you.

This is a great opportunity to do something at the local level to help the city and the environment. Come meet your neighbors and become a neighborhood recycling champion!

Hope to see you Wednesday night!
