The goblins are on their way! The Melrose Y is hosting its Third Annual 5K Spooky Sprint Road Race on Saturday, October 27, 2012. Runners and walkers in the 5K Spooky Sprint take off at 9am from the Melrose YMCA. We expect hundreds of runners and walkers to participate and as many spectators to cheer them on and join in the excitement of the race. The race and party promote fitness awareness for everyone and is a great family event. For over 100 years the Melrose YMCA has served the communities of Melrose and Stoneham.  Everyone is invited to participate in our activities without regard to race, creed, or ability to pay.  Through safe and affordable childcare, fitness, camping, and other programs, the YMCA continues to provide numerous ways to keep families strong.  Proceeds from the Third Annual 5K Spooky Sprint Road Race and Monster Bash will go directly towards supporting these neighbors in need who look to the YMCA to help them keep their families strong and healthy.
