  Melrose\, MA Fans of the big bands\, including those who remember danci
 ng to a big band at local ballrooms like the Lakeside\, Kimball&rsquo\;s
  Starlite and Wonderland won't want to miss "The Big Bands Are Back" Con
 cert/Dance" November 10 at Memorial Hall in Melrose. Dan Gabel and the A
 bletones\, a 17-piece orchestra\, features&nbsp\; famous band arrangemen
 ts from the 1930&rsquo\;s and 40&rsquo\;s.&nbsp\; Critically-acclaimed A
 manda Carr is the vocalist. &nbsp\;	The event is in tribute to Bob Bache
 lder\, well-known bandleader with the famed &ldquo\;Totem Pole Orchestra
 &rdquo\;. &nbsp\;Long time band front singer\, Nancy Carr\, will also be
  making a guest appearance in addition to many of the original Totem Pol
 e band members.&nbsp\;On display will be a wide array of memorabilia inc
 luding pictures from the original Totem Pole Ballroom\, Lakeside Ballroo
 m and Kimball&rsquo\;s Starllte. &nbsp\;	The show is presented by the Am
 erican Big Band Preservation Society (ABBPS)\, a Massachusetts-based non
 -profit organization whose mission is to keep big band music alive for t
 he next generation.&nbsp\;	&nbsp\;Amanda Carr\, Nancy Carr&rsquo\;s daug
 hter\, is the founder of ABBPS and Dan Gabel\, CEO.&nbsp\; 24-year-old D
 an Gabel\, is a trombonist\, bandleader\, arranger\, and jazz/big band h
 istorian\, currently attending New England Conservatory in the graduate 
 jazz program.&nbsp\; Proceeds from the event will fund the ABBPS &ldquo\
