DESCRIPTION:February is the month when love is in the air. It's also the 
 perfect time to start talking about healthy relationships.&nbsp\; The Me
 lrose Public Schools in partnership with the Melrose Alliance Against Vi
 olence will begin that conversation next month\, and we invite you to jo
 in us.\nOn Tuesday\, February 5th\, we will hold a Kick-Off Breakfast as
  we mark Teen Dating Violence Awareness &amp\; Prevention Month and unve
 il plans for the Safe S.T.E.P.S. for Teens Project. This free event is o
 pen to all members of the community\, and will be held in the cafeteria 
 at the Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School beginning at 8:30am. Spea
 kers will include Claire McCarthy\, Boston.com's MD Mama\, as well as a 
 survivor of teen dating violence\, who will share her personal story. Pa
 rents of teens and those who work with teens are especially encouraged t
 o attend.\nIn 2011\, Melrose was one of just nine school districts in th
 e U.S. to receive a Safe STEPS for Teens grant\, which focuses on safe a
 nd healthy relationships for middle and high school students. The first 
 year of the grant was focused on planning purposes\, while the second ye
 ar\, which is just now underway\, focuses on implementation. Please join
  us at this breakfast event to learn more about Safe STEPS for Teens\, a
 nd to participate in our "Love Is...Love Isn't..." Photo Project.\nIf yo
