The Melrose Chamber of Commerce and Signature Sponsor Hallmark Health announce the 31st Annual Victorian Fair. This year’s Fair will be held on September 11th with a severe weather date of September 18th. Because the Fair will be held on the 10th Anniversary of the Attack on America, we will recognize this day by dedicating the Fair to Ray Rocha, a Melrose native who died at the World Trade Center. Voluntary contributions to the Friends of Melrose High Football Ray Rocha Memorial Scholarship Fund are being accepted at the Chamber of Commerce Office.
The Fair itself will offer all the traditional activities that make it a legendary event. There will be rides and amusements for all ages; entertainment at Center Stage as well as on the street; wonderful food; the Artisans’ Marketplace; booths full of fun and, of course, the Chamber of Commerce Big Ticket Raffle. The Chamber of Commerce booth this year will have the 2011 Melrose ornament, featuring the Melrose Public Library, for sale.
The Fair will be held on Main Street in Melrose from 11:30 am -5:00 pm. Don’t forget to start your weekend with a vintage baseball game played by our home town team, the Pondfeilders, on Saturday, September 10th at 1:00 pm at Pine Banks.
