More About Melrose High School
Melrose High School, built in 1975, has undergone technology upgrades in the past few years and eliminated the "open space" classrooms, thanks to the new middle school built next door. The school is led by Principal Daniel Richards, who took the helm starting in 2011.
In addition to college preparatory classes, Melrose High School offers 54 honors-level courses and Advanced Placement courses ranging from English and various foreign languages to U.S. History and Calculus. Students are required to perform 12 hours of community service each year in high school in order to graduate.
Outside the classroom, over 40 clubs and organizations are available to Melrose High School students, and 16 sports are offered at the varsity and sub-varsity level.
