Special Holiday Lunch
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” Time for sleigh bells, snowflakes, Frosty, and holidays. Come celebrate this joyful and happy season with us as we gather with friends for a special holiday meal. Lunch will consist of baked chicken and gravy served with apple raisin stuffing, roasted turnip, carrots, sweet potatoes, parsnips and a cinnamon dinner roll. Dessert will consist of scrumptious Boston cream pie.
Entertainment will be provided by the Melrose High School Chorus Group who will perform many of our favorite holiday carols. In addition, we will hold a special raffle for a chance to win a Lottery Christmas Tree adorned with scratch tickets.
There is a $2.00 requested donation to cover the cost of lunch. To make a reservation for lunch or a ride, please call 781-662-6886. A $1 one-way donation is requested.
More About Milano Senior Center
The historic Milano Senior Center was built as a carriage house in 1897 as part of The Beebe Estate. Renovated and expanded, it reopened as the Milano Senior Center in 1995 under the direction of the Melrose Council on Aging.
Each month, approximately 750-900 senior citizens attend the many social, recreational, health and educational programs offered at the center. Some of the more than 25 regular programs include weekday lunches, Tai Chi and yoga classes, arts and crafts, board and card games, line dancing and aerobics classes, writing classes, and support groups.
