Chamber to Host Halloween Trick-or-Treat Event in Melrose

Here are five things to know for Thursday, Oct. 31 in Melrose:

1. The Melrose Chamber of Commerce's Trick-or-Treat event is slated for 3:30-5 p.m. Thursday at businesses in downtown Melrose, according to the Chamber's event page.

2. The last Sally Frank's Farmers' Market is set for 1-7 p.m. Thursday at Bowden Park on West Emerson Street and Cedar Park, according to an event posting on Melrose Patch.

3. It is expected to be cloudy on Thursday, with temperatures peaking around 63 during the day and a nighttime low of about 60, according to the forecast for Malden on Weather.com. There is a 30 percent chance of rain during the day, and a 60 percent chance of precipitation at night, the site adds.

4. The Story Time program is set for 11-11:45 a.m Thursday in the Meeting Room at Melrose Public Library, according to the library website.

5. The Melrose Public Library Snack Pack program is scheduled for 3-4 p.m. Thursday in the Meeting Room, according to the library website.
