1. After defeating no. 7 Burlington 47-28 on Nov. 1 in the Division 3 Northwest quarterfinals in Melrose, the no. 2 ranked Melrose High School football team moves on to play third ranked Arlington at 7 p.m. Friday at Melrose High, according to the Max Preps website.

2. The Melrose Kids Club meets at 10 a.m. Friday at Memorial Hall, according to Mayor Rob Dolan's blog.
