Nearly a Dozen Activities Planned at Milano Senior Center in Melrose

1. Senior activities: Check out the lineup of activities planned for Thursday at the Milano Senior Center, according to the senior center newsletter for September:

9 a.m.: Chair caning
9:45 a.m.: Yoga 
10 a.m.: Board games/cards
11 a.m.: Chair Yoga
11 a.m.: Today’s news
12 p.m.: Special Labor Day lunch
12 p.m.: S. Girls bridge
1:30 p.m.: Handicrafts
1:30 p.m.: Line dancing
2:50 p.m.: SB upper body
3:35 p.m. SB lower body

2. In case you missed it:

3. Library session: There will be a support group for alienated grandparents from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at Melrose Public Library in the Meeting Room, according to the library website.

4. Mixed forecast: Scattered showers are likely before noon on Thursday before eventually clearing, according to the forecast for Melrose on the National Weather Service website. During the day, temperatures may hit a high of about 71 and an overnight low of 47, according to the forecast. 

5. No water flushing: The city won't be conducting any water flushing from Tuesday, Sept. 3 through Friday, Sept. 6, according to the city website.
