Here are five things to know for Wednesday, Jan. 22 in Melrose:

1. The decision came in late Tuesday night, but Melrose Public Schools will have a two-hour delay Wednesday, according to Mayor Rob Dolan's blog

2. There will be an on-street parking ban, which started at 10 p.m. Tuesday, until 8 a.m. Wednesday, according to Mayor Rob Dolan's blog.

3. Trash pickup is delayed one day due to Martin Luther King Day on Monday. For example, Wednesday trash pickup is now on Thursday.

4. City Hall will have a delayed opening on Wednesday, opening at 10 a.m., according to the Mayor Rob Dolan's blog.
