Many have asked, when is the annual downtown Melrose Halloween extravaganza?
Hosted by the Melrose Chamber of Commerce, this year's "Trick or Treat at Melrose Businesses" takes place on Oct. 31 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
As posted on its website, "Every year, about 80 Melrose businesses open their doors to greet young trick or treaters in grade 3 or younger."
To accommodate, Main Street is closed from Grove Street to Upham Street, and the festivities spread out to West Wyoming, the Highlands and Franklin Square.
This year's event is sponsored by Doctors Express.
