Hallmark Health System’s Stride for Healthy Communities walk set for June 7

Join Hallmark Health System on Saturday, June 7 at Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield for the Stride for Healthy Communities walk. This year’s event will benefit cancer care, cardiology programs, emergency services and the North Suburban Child and Family Resource Network.

Participants of all ages are encouraged to register for the event, which includes a 3-mile walk around beautiful Lake Quannapowitt, music, food, family activities, giveaways, health information and more. In previous years more than 300 walkers and supporters came out to join in the day’s festivities. More than a dozen area sponsors as well as WBZ Radio, eateries and other sponsors will be there. WBZ’s Kidcast mobile studio will also be on site at the event, allowing school-aged children to record their own news stories by reading scripts written by the WBZ NewsRadio 1030 staff.

Early registration for adults (18 and over) is $20 and $25 the day of the walk. Registration for students (5-17) is $10 and children under 5 are free. All registered walkers receive a free T-shirt. Register by May 15 and be entered into a chance to win Bruins tickets. Register online by visiting www.hallmarkhealth.org and selecting “Giving.”
