Hit sci-fi audio adventure/comedy podcast Hadron Gospel Hour returns to the internet for a second season

Hadron Gospel Hour, the serialized audio comedy podcast whose first season garnered rave reviews from critics and iTunes/podcast audiences alike, is returning from hiatus for a second season, with brand new episodes, on Sunday July 13 at 8 p.m. The premiere can be streamed from www.hadrongospelhour.com

Hadron Gospel Hour’s unique blend of science fiction sitcom/adventure, sketch comedy, and music will return to iTunes and online at www.hadrongospelhour.com with a new slate of quantum adventures.

Series creators and writers Richard Wentworth and Michael McQuilkin will be starting up the new season where last season left off, with the hapless duo of Hadron scientist and self-proclaimed “ruiner of the multiverse” Oppenheimer and his somewhat reluctant partner, the kidnapped IT guy Mike.  Still headquartered in a lab that was stranded outside of spacetime during Oppenheimer’s disastrous Hadron experiment, the two struggle to repair the now infamous Hadron Rift, visiting freaky new alternate timelines, and making new friends -- and dangerous new enemies. Along the way, Mike and Oppenheimer will also present brand new installments of their podcast-within-a-podcast“Tales from the Hadron Rift”, which features original comedy sketches disguised as stories from the fractured timelines of the Hadron Rift.

Fan favorite characters from season one will be returning, including the quantum pirate Commander Funk, the sentient Higgs-Boson particle Higgs_B, and of course, lab stalwarts A.S.H. le (the lab’s sassy artificial intelligence) and Cyrus (an unfortunate maintenance worker who is trapped between dimensions -- and in the lab’s hallway). In addition, listeners can expect to be introduced to a slew of new, offbeat characters -- and some surprise cameos from celebrity voices (in the vein of Jon Mikl Thor’s appearance as himself in season one).

Hadron Gospel Hour’s mix of sci-fi and smart comedy invites comparisons to such diverse pop culture phenomena such as The Monkees, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Dr. WHO, Thrilling Adventure Hour, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Young Ones, and 70’s Hanna-Barbera cartoons. Shows are produced twice a month and are downloadable for free via HadronGospelHour.com, iTunes, and a large number of podcasting apps.
