Melrose Family YMCA Child Care Center in Stoneham to Host Open House September 4th

[AUGUST 12, 2013] – As children wrap up the summer and start to think about returning to school, the Melrose Family YMCA encourages parents looking for safe, educational and fun activities to take advantage of the child care programs at the Stoneham Child Care Center.  Combining play with academics, the Stoneham Child Care Center offers infant, toddler, preschool, and school age programs in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment. 

 

“At the Melrose YMCA, we treat each child as their own special individual,” says Maureen McGurl, Director of Child Care, Melrose Family YMCA Child Care Center in Stoneham. “Our child care center is not just about arts, physical education, and enrichment- it’s about providing a fun and supportive atmosphere that will build confidence and self-esteem.”

As one of the leading providers of child care programs, the Y impacts the lives of hundreds of thousands of youth at nearly 10,000 sites across the country.  Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the Melrose Family YMCA Child Care Center in Stoneham offers programs for children 6 weeks to 14 years.   This program is also fully licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and each child is assigned a Primary Caregiver Teacher who works directly with the child each day.  To learn more about the child care programs at the Child Care Center in Stoneham attend the Open House on Wednesday, September 4th from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
