Aldermen meet; toddler bedtime program at library; borrow a free Mass. Park Pass.
1) How the rain showers on me: In honor of last night's amazing show at the House of Blues, it's an all-Rancid edition of 5 Things today. A chance of showers, mainly after 10 a.m. Increasing clouds, with a high near 64. East wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. Tonight, showers likely. Patchy fog. 2) American government issue: The Melrose Board of Aldermen meets tonight at 7:45 p.m., including public hearings scheduled for 8:30 p.m. on the fuel storage license for and on the city's ambulance rates for the coming year.

3) Make some music with my friends: "Music, Movement and Mother Goose," the popular monthly bedtime program for toddlers and their parents, . Best for children ages 2 and older. Children are invited to attend in their PJ's. No registration required. Call the Childrens Room at 781-665-2314 for more information.
4) Echo Park sunset: Melrose residents may from the Recreation Department. The pass entitles the bearer to free parking for one vehicle (excluding buses or vans) at over 50 facilities in the Massachusetts state parks system that charge a day-use parking fee.
