Budget goes to the aldermen; sign language classes for little ones; veterans resume writing workshop.

3) Rediscover communication: The Sign to Me, Sing to Me class returns to the Melrose Public Library today at 10:30 a.m. The classes are designed to teach parents, caregivers, and children (infants, toddlers,and preschoolers) basic American Sign Language. Through songs, games, and activities, children learn how to use ASL to facilitate communication and learning from infancy and well beyond. Children 13 months and older from 10:30-11:05 a.m., children 0-12 months from 11:15-11:50 a.m.

4) Found a job: Attention veterans—the city is holding a resume writing workshop tomorrow at 6 p.m. specifically for you. Professional volunteers will give a presentation on job interviewing skills in addition to providing resources for those needing clothing and accessories necessary for obtaining employment. The final portion of the workshop will provide one-on-one resume writing tips to ensure attendees are armed with up-to-date and effective resumes. There's also a veterans jobs and benefits fair at Memorial Hall and City Hall on Wednesday, April 25. .
