3) The man from the public school: The Melrose School Committee meets tonight at 7 p.m. Among the items on the agenda are the ; a a vote to approve recommended salaries for the assistant superintendent of Pupil Personnel Services and the business manager; and a proposed alignment of the compenstation schedule for principals and non-union school administrators with the city's salary administration plan.

4) A seven nation army couldn't hold me back: The Melrose Democratic City Committee and Going Local for Obama are sponsoring a guest bartending night at Absolutely Fabulous U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren will be there, according to the schedule released by her campaign.
