Do you love the snow? Are you looking forward to those school cancellations?

Well you may be happy, when you read this.

Old Farmer's Almanac, based in New Hampshire and celebrating its 222nd year, is predicting below-normal temperatures and above-normal snowfall for the coming winter season.

Old Farmer’s Almanac based its prediction on a a drop in solar activity and a change in ocean patterns, reported the Associated Press.

Last month, the Maine-based Farmer’s Almanac, in its 197th year, gave an almost identical weather forecast.

"Sweaters and snow shovels should be unpacked early and kept close by throughout the season," said Janice Stillman, editor of the Old Farmer's Almanac.

The Old Farmer’s Almanac predicts a cold winter for every region but the lower Great Lakes, upper Midwest and the northern states of the Northeast.
