The City of Melrose and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council are planning a discussion on the proposed zoning amendments in the Tremont Street and Essex Street neighborhoods.
On Wednesday, April 16, from 7-9 p.m., anyone interested should attend the meeting at the Milano Senior Center, 201 West Foster St.
Last fall, the city posted highlights from the planning committee's study of the Tremont and Essex Street corridor, which developed from meetings with neighborhood residents.
The Commuter Rail Corridor Plan, which was developed by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, includes recommendations regarding land use and zoning, transportation, and public realm improvements, said the press release.
"The proposed zoning amendments are intended to help capitalize on the opportunities and overcome the impediments of the Corridor in order to stimulate investment in the area."
