Palm Sunday Activities and Worship Service

First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ invites you to join us in participating in city-wide Palm Sunday activities: 9:15 AM – Palm Procession along Main Street from First Baptist Church to the Ell Pond Gazebo where there will be a Blessing of the Palms. Following these activities all are welcome to return to the church for a Palm Sunday Worship Service with Holy Communion at 10am.

Holy Week is a complete story. In fact, the Christian faith is based on this week. To be faithful, then, it is not enough to just know the story and come for the conclusion on Easter Sunday. We need to experience it, all of it, and live it as best we can. Our worship services from Palm Sunday through Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday give you the opportunity to experience all of it. You will only really know why Easter is such a “big deal” if you embark on the journey from start to finish.
