Hot Off the T: 5 Things To Do in Boston This Weekend

Free jazz party, children's tea party at the BPL, and Lindsey Buckingham.

(All events are in walking distance from Orange Line stops on the MBTA.)

1.) BERKLEE BEANTOWN JAZZ FEST: On Saturday, 12-6 p.m., Boston's biggest block party gets going on Columbus Avenue and Mass. Avenue in the South End. Three stages, free performances from more than 15 artists, family activities and food vendors.
Take the Orange Line to Back Bay Station and walk 12 minutes to the corner of Columbus Avenue and Mass. Avenue. 

2.) MEET CHILDREN'S AUTHORS AND HAVE TEA: At the Boston Public Library on Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets for the tea party are $40-$60. Book sales and signing portion of the program are free and open to the public.

3.) HUCK FINN SET TO BLUEGRASS MUSIC:  performs "Big River," set to bluegrass and country music. Thurs.-Sun through Oct. 8. Purchase tickets here. 
Pricing: $27-$60.

4.) GRAFFITI AS ART: On Sunday at 2 p.m. at the MFA, the lecture series "Evolution of Graffiti" explores the 40-year history of graffiti. Includes a film and a discussion/debate about this form of vandalism. Tickets cost $15 for members, $18 for non-members.

5.) LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM: The former member of Fleetwood Mac plays the Wilbur Theater Sunday at 7 p.m. Balcony tickets were still left, as of this writing.
Take the Orange Line to Chinatown Station and walk 5 minutes to the theater.
