Why Go: Join Dan Sumorok and the Friends of the Fells on a hiking tour of the southernmost part of the Fells on the Skyline, Reservoir, and Cross Fells trails. This walk will end with a visit to Pine Hill and Wright's Tower, where the view includes Medford, Boston, and the Blue Hills in the distance. The trails are steep and rocky in places. Wear sturdy boots and bring at least a liter of water. Meet at the Bellevue Pond parking area, South Border Road, Medford. Rain cancels.

Why Go: Hop on down the bunny trail to Stone Zoo where an Easter celebration awaits. Children’s activities include scavenger hunts, crafts, opportunities to meet the zookeepers and other fun surprises. While at the Zoo, families can visit with a special guest, the Easter Bunny, who will be available for photographs. Guests may take photos with the Easter Bunny with their own camera. The suggested photo donation is $5. All proceeds benefit Stone Zoo.

Price: Stone Zoo admission: Adults $13, Seniors $11, Children 2-12, $9. Children under 2 are free. This event takes place on a Kid’s Price Saturday (first Saturday of the month). Between 10 a.m.-noon, all guests will be charged children’s admission ($9).

Why Go: and is proudly presenting the 2nd Annual Melrose Egg Hunt. This year’s event, open to all children ages 3-8, is sponsored in part by , Mayor Robert J. Dolan, and the . The Easter Bunny will be hopping on over to Melrose with more than 8,000 toy filled eggs. Grand Prize tickets this year to see Sesame Street Live at the Agganis Arena. Extra Prize tickets to Stone Zoo’s Bunny Bonanzoo. There will also be exciting activities for the children to participate in and the Easter Bunny will be available for pictures.

Why Go: The Standing Room Only season finale features one of New England’s top brass quintets and colleagues joining the remarkable talents of pianist George Lopez. Selections include Love is Here to Stay, I’ve Got Rhythm, a Porgy and Bess suite and a special arrangement of the well-loved piano concerto Rhapsody in Blue with Mr. Lopez. Non-Gershwin tunes include music in baroque and Brazilian styles. Ending the first half is a spectacular tribute to five decades of trumpet solos by Jay Daly, many times the lead trumpet for tours of the Artie Shaw Orchestra.
