Deadline Monday for Photo Contest With Cash Prizes

Summer may be over but it's not too late to enter our Summer Photo Contest.

Calling all amateur photographers. Show off your talent by entering our first ever Melrose Patch photography contest. 

Cash prizes awarded for 1st place ($75), 2d place ($50), and 3d place ($25). Readers of Patch can comment on their favorites by using the "LEAVE A COMMENT" box below but winners will be chosen by a group of Patch editors.

For this contest we're looking for photos taken during the summer of 2010 either in Melrose or taken by Melrose residents during their summer vacation anywhere. Each person may submit up to three entries. Contest ends Oct. 4 at 9 a.m. and winners will be announced shortly after that.

So if you haven't done so already, log in to Melrose Patch, and begin uploading your photos by clicking the "Add" photos button under the photo on this page. 

Be sure to write caption information explaining where and when the photo was taken and identifying anyone in the photo. We'll contact you via Patch if you're one of the talented winners.
