Contemporary Service Sunday

“…to you, O Lord, I will make music.” Psalm 101:1

So it has always been in Christian worship. So it will be this coming Sunday, September 23, when the Melrose Highlands Congregational Church offers a Contemporary Service that will include MHCC’s well-known Praise Band. Led by Bob Nasella, all but one of the exceptional musicians in this group come from the MHCC congregation. Volunteers all, their formal training ranged from classical to jazz to rock. Several of them play professionally outside of church and have successful solo or band experience.

Why contemporary? Why not? David danced before the Ark. Today, that same joy finds expression in traditional church music, folk music and spirituals, and the Praise Band, which brings us rock and pop elements.

Come join us on Sunday, September 23rd at 10:00 a.m. as we celebrate these new songs being sung to the Lord.
