Hot Off the T: 5 Things To Do in Boston This Weekend

Tour artist studios, eat Greek food, and see the next 'Star of the Day.'

(All events are in walking distance from Orange Line stops on the MBTA.)

  1. : On Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. more than 200 artists in 12 buildings open up their studios to the public. Printed guides are available at the . This is the 25th anniversary year of the event. Free. 
    Take the Orange Line to Back Bay Station and walk 10 minutes to the Boston Center for the Arts.
     
  2. : On Friday, Saturday and Sunday at   in the South End. Listen to Greek music and eat Greek food. 
    Take the Orange Line to Back Bay Station and walk 10 minutes to the church. 

  3. : It's a neighborhood block party and beer garden open to all. Free food, $5 beers, and music by the Rock Bottom Band. There's face-painting, arts and crafts, and carnival games for the kids too. On Sunday, starting at 1 p.m.
    Take the Orange Line to Downtown Crossing and walk 12 minutes to the lower end of Mount Vernon Street, near the firehouse
     
  4. : Be part of the studio audience for this old-school talent show. On Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the audience may come and go all day. 
    Take the Orange Line to Mass. Ave. Station and walk 10 minutes to the Berklee College of Music at 136 Mass. Ave.

  5. FUN IN THE PARK:  will be hosting its final Sunday event of the season on Sept. 18 from 2-4 p.m. Field games, fishing, yoga and more.
    Take the Orange Line to Haymarket Station and walk 18 minutes to the Esplanade.
