Hot Off the T: Bach, Dropkick Murphys and More

Five things to do in Boston this weekend.

Head over to Oak Grove and catch a train to these events within walking distance of the T.

1) Spring officially begins on March 20, but its unofficial start is this weekend at the Boston Flower and Garden Show, which runs through the weekend at the Seaport World Trade Center. Check out the model gardens, open market and other great features. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for kids, and the doors open daily at 9 a.m.. Take the Red Line to South Station and walk 17 minutes to the center.

2) Classical music lovers take heed: The hosts the Freisinger Chamber Orchestra Saturday at 1:30 p.m.. which sets parts of the Gospel of Matthew to music. Tickets are $13 at the door. Take the Orange Line to Back Bay and walk five minutes to the church.

3) Not enough high culture for you? Check out AD20/21: Art and Design of the 20th and 21st Centuries at the . Tickets are $15 for the different exhibits. Check the for a full schedule. Take the Orange Line to Back Bay and walk nine minutes to the center.

4) Learn a little about women’s history with Historic New England on Sunday. The group will , which was a working boarding house operated by three landladies in the 19th century.  Tickets for the 2 p.m. tour are $15. Take the Orange Line to State Street and walk nine minutes to the house.

5) It’s St. Patrick’s Day weekend in Boston, which means the Dropkick Murphys are playing. The boys are offering something a little different this year: A Sunday show at Brighton Music Hall where they’ll play their entire debut album, “Do Or Die.” The hall has a 330-person capacity, so you’ll need a wristband to get a $25 ticket. Click here to learn more about the process. Doors open at 8 p.m.. Take the Green Line B to Harvard Avenue and walk five minutes to the hall.
