A Melrose woman recently won $1 million on a scratch ticket purchased at a local gas station, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery website.

She bought the winning $20 Billion Dollar Bonanza ticket at Melrose Mobil, 386 Main St., Melrose, according to the site. The store will receive a $10,000 commission on the sale, reads the site.

Loconte, a mother of five, grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of three has no immediate plans for the winnings, reads the website.

Melrose Patch was unable to reach Loconte for comment.

Melrose Business Sells $1 Million Scratch Ticket

Winchester resident Myong Cho claimed $1 million in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s new Holiday Gifts instant game on Nov. 26, according to the website.

Cho selected the cash option on the grand prize and received a one-time lump sum payment of $650,000 (less taxes), reads the website. She plans to use the prize money to pay bills, including tuition for her two children, according to the website.

Cho bought the winning $5 Holiday Gifts ticket at RD’s Delicatessen, 463 Franklin St., Melrose, according to the website. The store will receive a $10,000 commission on the sale, reads the website.
