North Andover New Year's Celebrations

Three establishments in North Andover are celebrating old and new New Year's Eve traditions.

The transition from December to January is filled with idealism, hope, and thoughts of new beginnings.

Traditions old and new are aplenty. North Andover Patch is here for you today to share some New Year’s traditions that will be happening locally.

So wherever you may be when the clock strikes midnight, know that there will be local spots buzzing with excitement and anticipation of a new, fresh, and prosperous year.

1. China Blossom

The price tag is $75, but the experience will be unforgettable.

First, and most importantly, you’ll be treated to an all-you-can-eat premier buffet featuring everything from sushi to teriyaki and everything in between.

You’ll also experience one of the area’s finest comedy shows in the Lots of Laughs Comedy Lounge. Sal Votano, Christine Hurley, and John David are all slated to perform.

Later on, put those dancing shoes on and prepare for the beat of DJ Barry Mooney. You’ll also be able to toast at midnight with a complimentary glass of champagne.

Raffles, prizes, and giveaways will be taking place all night, and you can order tickets online here. Or, just call 978-687-1789 to reserve your spot.

You can get a special hotel rate of $110 at the Wyndham Hotel in Andover with transportation to and from the event included in the price of the room. A full breakfast is even included. Make a reservation by clicking here.

2. Orzo Trattoria

Another New Year’s Eve tradition is at one of North Andover’s favorites, Orzo Trattoria. Dinner, drinks, music and dancing will be going on throughout the afternoon until two o’clock in the morning.

Dinner at Orzo will include a Salad Special featuring Bibb lettuce, avocado, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and bacon, tossed with balsamic vinaigrette and topped with crumbled gorgonzola.

Shrimp Bisque will be the featured soup. The appetizers will include lobster claw cocktail with baby arugula and roasted corn and tomato relish. Another appetizer is the long stem artichokes stuffed with goat cheese, wrapped in prosciutto, and garnished with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic glaze.

For dinner there are three specials. First off, the pasta special includes smoked duck ravioli tossed with a spinach and butternut cream, topped with mini duck meatballs and dried cranberries.

Secondly, the meat special features rosemary roasted rack of lamb, garlic whipped potatoes, sautéed baby carrots, and zucchini.

Finally, the fish special is a baked, stuffed lobster, sautéed baby carrots, and zucchini.

Reservations are required so please call 978-686-6921 if you’re interested.

3. ZINGA! Frozen Yogurt

One of the newest New Year’s Eve traditions will be taking place at the new ZINGA! Frozen Yogurt shop on route 114 in North Andover, and this one would be great for the kids who may not be awake by the time midnight arrives.

From 6 to 10pm on New Year’s Eve, party with the ZINGA team for an exciting count down on the hour every hour starting at 7pm. Enjoy the party with noise makers while you enjoy some great frozen yogurt at one of North Andover’s newest establishments.

There will be raffles, giveaways, music, and plenty of fun for kids and adults.
