Patch Readers' Choice Sporting Goods Retailer Winner: Marathon Sports
The franchise received the most votes and a complimentary comment from a reader.
This week, Melrose Patch polled you on the best place in the city to buy tennis rackets, running gear and other sporting goods.
Between Monday morning and Friday morning, eight people voted in the poll.
And the winner is.... The store received six of the eight votes cast, or 75 percent of the ballot.

The Marathon Sports Franchise has a total of six locations across Eastern Massachusetts, providing the newest apparel for runners. A few of the name brands Marathon Sports carries include Nike, Adidas, Reebok, New Balance and more. Its most popular seller is running shoes and running apparel. Marathon also sells running accessories such as water bottles, hats, sunglasses and more.
